What exactly is loungewear?!
Some will say loungewear and sleepwear are items to be worn in the house, not out. Some will say loungewear and sleepwear are totally different (sleepwear being slept in aka pyjamas; loungewear for daytime aka comfy clothes). Truth is, loungewear is individual to everyone.
My take on loungewear includes wearing pyjamas (mostly of the silk variety) as acceptable ‘leaving the house’ clothing too.
To wear as pyjamas as daywear, I split them up wearing one piece at a time and pairing with normal attire.
My black and white stripe Asceno Pyjama top (pictured) goes well with skinny black jeans and biker boots. The matching pyjama trousers look great with a black tank top, trainers and layered jewellery with a leather jacket thrown over. Splitting them up and using as daywear also helps justify the cost for pyjamas!
